The Dembo Fula Clinic is a healthcare organization provids affordable, quality medical services to a rural village in The Gambia. Founded in 2016, we address the critical difficulty of accessing healthcare by offering year-round affordable treatment and a vital annual free Clinic Day.
This special event, held each December/January, provides free physician consultations, medications, and blood pressure screenings for the most vulnerable. With the crucial assistance of 20-30 dedicated volunteers, we ensure our community receives the essential care and medications they need, fulfilling our mission to make healthcare accessible to all.
Our vision is a Gambia where every individual, regardless of their economic standing, has uninterrupted access to quality and compassionate healthcare. We believe that health is a fundamental human right and the cornerstone of community prosperity. Our clinic strives to be more than just a treatment center; we aim to be a catalyst for lasting health and economic development within the rural communities we serve.
We see a future where our sustainable, family-centered model of care eliminates the painful choice between financial stability and physical well-being. Through our year-round affordable services and our flagship annual free Clinic Day, we are building a healthier, more resilient community. By empowering volunteers and uniting supporters, we work towards a self-reliant healthcare system that ensures no one is left behind in their time of medical need.
